Slip-on Type Cementing Basket
The slip-on type cementing basket features a slip-on mechanism, allowing it to be activated or closed under specific conditions for more flexible cementing control. Its liner can be made of heavy-duty canvas or overlapping metal sheets. This design is particularly suitable for multi-stage cementing and deep well operations. If the slip-on type cementing basket is lined with heavy-duty canvas, it is better suited for applications with lower hydrostatic pressure.
Latch-on Type Cementing Basket
The latch-on type cementing basket is constructed of flexible steel spring bows welded to latch-on end collars, with an overlapping metal sheet liner. It deploys through a latch-on mechanism, making it suitable for well sections where casing has already been run or where the wellbore diameter is relatively uniform. Due to its simple structure and relatively low pressure resistance, it is more suitable for low-pressure or shallow well cementing operations.
