Oil production equipment at drilling site

High-Efficiency PDC Drill Bits for Any Drilling Environment

PDC drill bits are a flagship product in oilfields, ideal for soft to medium-hard formations. We specialize in the R&D and manufacturing of high-performance PDC drill bits, committed to delivering more efficient and durable cutting solutions for drilling operations. Our drill bits employ premium-grade cutters and innovative designs, with features such as cutter type, cutter layout, and blade geometry continuously evaluated and optimized. This ensures enhanced value, reduced drilling costs, improved rate of penetration (ROP), and extended bit life, helping you achieve lower drilling expenses and shorter project timelines.

Matrix Body PDC Drill Bit

Matrix body drill bits are specialized cutting tools engineered for drilling through hard and abrasive formations, commonly encountered in oil and gas drilling operations. PDC drill bits (Polycrystalline Diamond Compact drill bits) are manufactured using a sintering process similar to that employed for natural diamond drill bits. These PDC drill bits are produced using cast tungsten carbide powder with grooved surfaces, allowing direct welding of PDC cutters. Renowned for their fast drilling speed, durability, and high penetration rates, PDC drill bits have become a mainstream solution in petroleum drilling.

Steel Body PDC Drill Bits

Steel body PDC Bits feature a drill bit body machined from a single piece of alloy steel. The cutters are manufactured by welding PDC (polycrystalline diamond compact) segments onto tungsten carbide studs, which are then mounted onto the bit body. The gauge section of the bit body is also embedded with diamond blocks or other wear-resistant materials.

Steel body PDC drill bits are designed for fast and efficient drilling in soft to medium formations with high compressive strength and absence of bottom-hole gravel. Their wide flow channels facilitate efficient cuttings removal.

Additionally, steel-body PDC bits are primarily used for drilling through gravel-laden formations and hard, high-compressive-strength formations that are challenging to penetrate.

Hybrid PDC Drill Bit

The hybrid drill bit employs a combined cutting mechanism, first fracturing formations with roller cone cutters, then shearing through rock with PDC blades, effectively protecting the PDC cutters. Compared to conventional PDC drill bits, they offer superior drilling stability and achieve higher ROP (Rate of Penetration) in both soft and hard interbedded formations.

The hybrid drill bit consists of both roller cone and PDC cutters, fully integrating the strengths of both drill bit type.

  • The PDC cutters enable faster ROP at lower WOB (Weight on Bit).
  • Conical roller section reduces drillstring vibrations, enhancing performance in hard rock formations.
