Drill Pipe Screen – Precision Cuttings Filtration, Erosion and Corrosion Resistance

Drill pipe screens are an indispensable part of any directional drilling operation, serving to protect the automatic drilling equipment used in oilfield drilling. Proper protection of the automatic drilling machine is essential for achieving economical and efficient project execution. We offer perforated type drill pipe screens, slot type drilling pipe screens, rod type drilling pipe screens, as well as a wide range of outer rings and both retrievable and non-retrievable perforated type drill pipe screens. Our drill pipe screens are manufactured from stainless steel and undergo special surface treatments, providing extended service life as well as excellent corrosion and erosion resistance.

Perforated Type Drill Pipe Screen

Perforated type drill pipe screens, featuring a conical design, are most commonly used in low-flow drilling operations and for low-flow loss circulation materials (LCM). Our perforated type drill pipe screens are fabricated from premium 304/316 stainless steel and are typically installed below the Kelly drill pipe. Optional accessories include flanges, bolts, or 1/4" welded steel bars, with the latter offering a more economical solution. We offer length options ranging from 12" to 4'.

Slot Type Drilling Pipe Screen

Among the three types of drill pipe screens, the slot type drilling pipe screen is the most robust, thanks to its manufacturing process. Manufactured from solid stainless steel tubes, we mill 1/4" × 1" slots to ensure optimal flow while maintaining strength. This design is available in both retrievable and non-retrievable options, and is specifically engineered for drilling operations with high solids content. If required, a relief hole can be added near the flange at the top to increase flow capacity. Slot type drilling pipe screens are available in standard lengths.

Rod-Type Drill Pipe Screen

Rod-type drill pipe screens are specifically engineered for wells with extremely high mud flow rates or elevated solids content. All our rod-type drill pipe screens are manufactured from 304/316 stainless steel, utilizing rod diameters of 1/4" or 3/16". Options for 16 or 20 bar are available to meet specific flow requirements.
